Following up where H20 Tuning left-off we received LLoyd Fields' 2000 TDI fresh from his Eurotuner feature shoot. Happy to be honored with the article, Lloyd still had more planned for his sparkling silver soot machine.

With most of the major boxes checked on this custom creation, there was one glaring item that had been neglected - the transmission. Having steamrollers for tires, coilovers and giant horking big red Porsche brakes, the stock slushbox left a bit to be desired. Lloyd plead his case and who were we to argue. A brand new 5-Speed diesel transmission complete with Peloquin LSD was sourced from Eurospec Sport and sent in transit. To unite gearbox to engine Lloyd chose a shiny new full faced copper Spec clutch kit and to ensure that those shifts happened quickly a DieselGeek short shift kit was also added to the mix. And as if all of this was not enough, a set of Raxle axles were bolted up for good measure.

With things handled on the driveline front, Lloyd suspected that a bit of extra horsepower might be in order. A call to Kerma TDI was made and the ST3 turbo kit was summoned up. Their included custom built hair-dryer was just the ticket for extracting the necessary extra few ponies from the ol' dirty diesel. And what turbo upgrade would be complete without an appropriate exhaust system to go with it. When we got Lloyd's car the initial exhaust left a bit to be desired; fortunately we were able to install a custom 3" system in-house that definitely does the rest of the car justice - complete with turn-down tip to prevent the chimney sweep look.
